Description Principle of semiconductor lasers. Modulation dynamics. Single frequency lasers. Fundamental AM and FM noise properties, linewidth. Tunable semiconductor lasers. Quantum well lasers. Electrooptic modulators and switches. Detectors. Integrated optoelectronic circuits. Optical amplifiers-semiconductor and Erbium fiber. Low coherence sources-superluminescent diodes. Tunable optical filters.
