Review of quantum-mechanical principles, crystal structure, lattice vibrations, band theory, electrons and holes, diffusion and drift, recombination, high-field phenomena, optical effects, device applications. Several one-hour minilabs done in pairs with the aid of a Teaching Assistant. |
