What do a startup and Google have in common? While Google is massive in many ways, the startup spirit has never been lost here. Now we are taking it to a whole new level — or as some might say, "back to the garage." You can be part of a small, focused team, and a member of the Google family at the same time — no kidding. How does it work?
Google's new Mobile Apps Lab is an incubator within Google, hosting small teams working on world-changing mobile applications. Every team at Google's Mobile Apps Lab works independently, developing innovative consumer applications for smart phones. While we operate in small teams of 2-10 members, we are ambitious with our goals: every app will seek hundreds of millions of users!
The Mobile Apps Lab offers self-starters the best of both worlds. You remain an ambitious entrepreneur, in control of your own destiny, and simultaneously enjoy the benefits of being a Googler: access to the world's brightest engineers, amazing technology and an excellent launch pad for your mobile app.
Sounds interesting? We're hiring Software Engineers and User Experience Designers with a passion for mobile innovation and an entrepreneurial spirit. We have both full-time and internship opportunities.
We’re also welcoming those with their own mobile app prototypes to come and develop them within the Mobile Apps Lab. If your concept has the potential of reaching hundreds of millions of users, the app can focus on any field - casual gaming, travel, social, healthcare, augmented reality, you tell us...
This tech talk will introduce the Mobile Apps Lab, talk about job opportunities in the Lab, and discuss application development on Android platform. If you’re interested in job opportunities, don’t forget to bring your resume to enter the raffle for a new Android phone giveaway.

We look forward to meeting you!
