Go is a new open source programming language developed by a small team at Google. Go combines the ease of programming of a dynamically typed, interpreted language with the efficiency and safety of a statically typed, compiled language. It includes easy and efficient support for multicore programming based on ideas from CSP. This talk will introduce the Go language and discuss the choices made during its design.
