Yea, you heard right. Last update of 2001. I'm going home tomorrow and I'm not coming back till next YEAR. =P
Never fear, the page will be up over winter break with this link: http://hkn.berkeley.edu/~rgulati, so feel free to click away.
Finals got their asses kicked this semester by yours truly. I think I'll be truly relaxed this break, moreso than I have been in a while. Things are finally starting to work out, you know? I could say more, but not on a crappy lil' webpage. =P
As for the aforementioned crap webpage, I've added our infamous friend Dennis Chu to the archive. Great, the fob factor of my page just went through the roof. Well, at least maybe it'll get more hits now.
Also, by popular demand, view the mini-pics from Heath's drunken Aaaach-toberfest, where no one was straight enough to increase the size of Omari's webcam pictures to be bigger than postage stamps (or buddy icons... =P). On behalf of everyone present at the party, I plead the 5th.
That about wraps it up. As you may have guessed, I still have to study, which is why I'm updating the page in the first place, so I'll probably maybe sorta kinda get back to that, and then have a BLAST over winter break!
Everyone, have a great time over break, stay safe, and have a good new years. See you on the other side.Livin' It Up! (What, do I do?) - Viper 11.07.01 7:00PM
Haha wassup y'all. Been a while since I actually updated the front page here, so I'll throw something out.
Yea, I'm still alive, as all you who check the random quotes should know. =P But, what have I been doing, you ask? Well, let's take a look here...
We finished up our IM bball season, winless but better off because of it. I think we're gonna start going back to the RSF, soon as we finish all these damn midterms.
Oh yea, we took this BOMB roadtrip down south a few weekends ago. MAAAAAAD props to Vishal, Monika, Alex, and Merrick for making it a trip to remember. And Shefali for throwing a cool party that Friday. And Jon Lerd for driving me around when I didn't have my car and I was far from home. =P And damn Harrison for his great housing at UCI.
And I was in a dance for South Asian Awareness Week for our very own Indo club, Indus. You can find alot of the pictures (and hopefully soon the video) on their site, and I put up a couple pictures on the people page. Shouts to the Kannada Crew for making it an awesome dance. KFD for life! =D
I think that's about it. One more midterm and then I'm home free. Thanksgiving, I can't wait! =D
UPDATE: Now Aamer is writing a "Soprindos" soap opera. Will wonders never cease? =P
UPDATE #2: Hahahah here comes Jon with his own "Non Sequitor" soap opera. Good stuff Jon. =D
UPDATE #3: Dude! The dances from SAAW are online! Click here to download mine. KFD fo' life baby!Midterms! - Viper 10.01.01 12:00PM
As usual, I'm sitting around updating my webpage when midterms are rearing their ugly heads. =P
I put up a couple new pictures in some random places, see if you can find them. And in case you didn't know, the random AIM quotes page is updated ALL the d*mn time since almost ALL of my friends that I talk to on aim are just so frickin' random. Yes, Adrienne, FRICKIN'. =P So go look at it whenever you're bored, cause whenever I'm bored I update it, and that happens quite often.
Don't worry, one of these days I'll actually put some real info in an update. One of these days...
UPDATE: Check out Jon's lame attempt at a chain profile. (It was actually pretty cool while it lasted =P).Life Goes On - Viper 9.24.01 1:00AM
In memory of the tradgedy, 9.11.01:
To the rescuers: Thank YouRepresent! - Viper 9.02.01 2:00AM (o_O)
Yea, I went and added another person to the people page. Go figure.
The newest victim is Anuj Bhalla, first class sociop- er, cool guy. =P
Have fun clicking today. In the words of Aamer, "PEACE-AH!"
UPDATE: OK-ji, I added Vishal Shah too. Cool? Cool.Back In Town - Viper 8.22.01 11:00AM
Well it was a long fun summer, but now it's time to move on. So I'm up in Berkeley, back on the ethernet in my dorm room, and chillin'. Literally =P.
What did I get done in the summer of 2001? Well, I got a part time job at Enterprise Rent-A-Car and drove cars around all day. Not something I'd complain about. =P Shouts to Eric, Matt, Brett, Mark, Jackie, Tony, Esmond, and Stephen for making it a fun summer.
In between having fun and sleeping I managed to make enough money to slap a kit on my car and order the fabled Mugen exhaust, which is somewhere in the Pacific Ocean right now (still moving towards my house, I hope).
So, yea, I'm back. Check out the page for some randomly updated sections. The big 18! - Viper 4.17.01 4:30PM
Isn't it just great that my 17th update to my webpage is on April 17? Well, if that wasn't awesome enough, it's also my birthday. =D
Instead of going on about my life (which is fun enough already =P), I want to show you guys how much I appreciate my friends, cause they went all out for me this time. So without further ado (and in no particular order), here is what these great people did:
My Family
Even tho they aren't here, they made it seem that way. My parents sent me a great card (in which my brother scrawled a funny note asking for more games and music cds... don't worry, I got you covered =P) and called in the morning today to tell me how much they love me. =) What a great feeling!
Mike Chan
My roommate. He actually woke up and took the aforementioned call from my parents when I was in the shower. Monumental as that is, he went a step further and woke up AGAIN when I came back to tell me they had called. *sniff* a true patriot. =P
Harrison Wang
My great friend and newly-made fellow luder from Irvine. He stayed up to the wee hours of the morning to tell me that I was "finally legal!!!!!" (ok so maybe he always stays up that late... humor me). And before i headed off to class this morning, he reminded me that now I can tell my parents that I "don't have a curfew anymore." thanks for looking out for me bud. =P
Aamer Abowath
One of my new best friends at Cal and the future president of Beta Chi Theta (look out!). He wished me a happy birthday on AIM, and left a message on my machine with only *one* reference to giving me a "beat down"! I'm impressed. =P Seriously, thanks for everything bro.
Steve Lin
A friend of mine at UCLA. He left me a message on AIM, telling me to have a "kick-ass" birthday, so I think he deserves a shout as well. thanks man! =P
Anuj Bhalla
The quirky Conneticut rap master and good friend of mine here at Cal told me "happy birthday dunn" and is going to join me and the boys on a trip to eat in San Francisco. Represent!
Simran Bhandari
My bestest friend ever from down in Walnut not only sent me an awesome birthday card, but also *sang* happy birthday to me on AIM. love ya simran! =)
Nisha Mehta
My pal at UCI. Wrote me an email early early this morning (or late late last night), and also sang happy birthday on AIM! you guys rock. =P
Wesley Le
One of my oldest and best friends, along with an assortment of UCI people, wished me happy birthday on AIM. Thanks guys. =)
David Hwang
A cool friend of mine at Cal and a great baller (you know it!). He gave me a happy birthday wish on AIM as well, and then proceeded to download more of my songs. =P just messin' guy, thanks alot!
Colin Nakagaki
Another one of my best friends at Cal. He not only left me messages on AIM, but actually took me to IB Hoagies for lunch! w00! you rock man. =D (he also downloaded songs off of me =P)
Adrienne Higa
Yet another one of my best buddies up here, left me a message on AIM to have a happy birthday and not be so sore from playing too much bball on the weekend. One down, one to go! =P
Rasika Rathi
Another great friend at Cal. She was so excited about my birthday (her words) that she sent me an IM, went to class to wish me happy birthday, and even made me a "pre-card" (cause she just couldn't wait until later to give me the real thing). you're awesome chica! =)
Rudy Chan
Like Wes, he is one of my oldest and best friends, and he said "HAPPY BIRTHDAY YOUNG-IN"!!" or something like that. RABBIT, you bastard. And thanks =)
Regina Lee
Of the Cal fame and a great friend, she left me an AIM message as well, even though she's always so busy weirding people out. =P just messin'. thanks regina! =)
Mike Humburg
A pal from Cal Poly SLO. He decided to wish me "happy" alot of things, including (but not limited to): Christmas, Easter, Passover (even though I'm not Jewish), Hannukah, Kwanza, Valentine's Day, Veteran's Day, St. Patrick's Day, 4th of July, etc. Then he asks if he forgot anything. I think I know what he was driving at. =P thanks man.
Puja Trivedi
One of my best friends at Cal (yea, another one). She was an unexpected surprise today =). She gave me some cheesecake, sent me a cool online greeting, and wrote me one of the sweetest cards I've ever ever received. Puja, of course you're still my friend! And I'll always be smiling for you. =)
Janet Leung
A great buddy from UCI. She just now wished me happy birthday on AIM. love ya babe! =)
This list isn't finished yet, as some people *cough*CARA*cough* have hinted at good things to come. So, I'll just add people as the days go, and remind you all to never ever ever take your friends for granted, cause they hella rock.
Oh man, I said hella. Vishal and Rasika are gonna get me for that. =P
UPDATE:
Jesseca Lerdsuwanrut
My "lil' sis" was proud that I grew up some more today. =)
Raj & his fam
Not to be outdone by Simran, Raj decided to IM me "happy birthdizzle," saying it was from him and his fam. Straightforward and to the point. Thanks dogg. =P
Tony Tsao
A great buddy here at Cal. He wished me "as many women as you are years old." I love this guy. =P
Elizabeth Yang
A new friend at Cal, who seems to know alot of the people I know from home (Cyndi, Regina, Elaine, etc). She was surprised I just turned 18 but wished me the best anyways. 1983 rocks! =D
Adam Youngman
A great pal at Cal, he pointed out I have the same birthday as someone he regards famous (I can't remember now =P), and then said "he rocks, and so do you." I'm taking this as a compliment. =P just messin', thanks adam!
Rasika (again), Adrienne (again), and Cara Bautista
Rasika and Adrienne, along with Cara, a great friend of mine as well, surprised me at Anuj's with a cake and a card. And this coupon, which is "redeemable for 1 kidnapping (in grand style)." This could be interesting... thanks girls! =D
Anuj (again), Aamer (again), Vishal Shah, Dennis Chu, Dan & Pancho
Anuj, Aamer, Vishal (one of my best friends at Cal), and Dennis (another one of my best friends here) took me out to Chevy's "Fresh Mex" Mexican restaurant for a bday dinner. We came back laughing our asses off at Anuj's "peace walk" and a Chevy's sombrero (among other things). Then, at Anuj's, Dan and Pancho (two cool guys on Anuj's floor) also *sang* happy birthday with the rest of them. Like, for real for real sang. I'm so impressed. You guys made this night one to remember. =)
Lai Tu
OK so it's 2 in the morning and Lai IMs me right as i'm going to go to sleep. =P Apparently she's on IST (Indian Standard Time) and just a little late. No prob Lai, thanks chica! =) (She claims to be the first to say "Happy 18th and a day"... I think she's right =P)
OK, now I'm going to sleep. My birthday may be over, but the fun just don't stop! =P Stay tuned...

Cyndi Wong
A great buddy of mine lost somewhere in Massachusetts. Yet she still managed to find a computer and send me a happy IM of love and birthdays. Love ya babe! =)
Heath Gibson
What a zany guy, and a great friend here at Cal. He ran into us on the street, and after suitable hints from the rest of the group ("hey heath, it's raman's birthday! say something you idiot!"), he wished me happy birthday. =) Well yea that was the right day, but he IMed the day after just to make sure. preach on, man!
Ashok Ananth
The mad ass rapping Indian OG one man crew, and another great pal from home (at USC now). Thanks for the love brotha. =P
Adam Dippel
A cool guy that lives right nearby, he was on his way to turn in an essay today. Talk about nuts! And he managed to remember it was my birthday too. =P
Mazi
If you live at Cal and you don't know Mazi, you must be blind (either that or his plane-landing-neon-highlighter-but- still-versache-shirt robbed you of your sanity =P). Ran into him on the street campaign- er, that was last week. Socializing. Yea. Thanks man. =P
Melissa Kwon
My RA, the coolest RA ever, who lives across the hall from me and dragged her sleepy ass out of bed at 5:30pm today also wished me a happy belated. Now she says she's "studying." uh huh. =P thanks melissa! =)
Sheirin
Sheirin, I wish I could spell your last name. But yea, she's a good pal up here in Berkeley, and she joined the IM- Raman-happy-birthday crowd. =) kit chica.
SkylineGTR9
SkylineGTR9 (if that IS his real name) is one of those car guys that IMs me online. He IMed me happy birthday (thanks!).
Melissa Mecija
Another cool UCI buddy (as if there weren't enough already =P) that IMed me a happy birthday. And she actually keeps in touch too! (Imma come visit you and that cool guy Eric in summer =P) Thanks Melissa. =)
OK yea imma cut this out after today is over, don't worry. =Pmeow - Viper 4.10.01 11:00PM
Life is goooooooood. Only one more midterm before finals, and i'll be the big one eight a week from today! Try to contain yourselves. =P
Hmm what's new? Well, because everyone *cough* rasika and cara *cough* would make an attempt on my life if i didn't, i updated the people page, the J page, and the R page. Just for kicks. And random AIM quotes now has newer stuff on top, for the two of you out there that actually care.
Mad props to the FASHOIN crew (spelling intended, just look at the Pragati program and you'll see) for tearing it up at the Indus Culture Show. Aamer, we'll make that fob skit, you'll see. =D And Niraj and ABBA decided to grace Cal with their presence this weekend, that was fun guys.
To close with ABBA's famous quote: "I'm a thug!"Avoiding homework rocks! - Viper 3.12.01 11:00PM
Some more changes today. Let's see... future mods listed on About Me, random AIM quotes added to Fun Stuff, pictures made cooler looking on the database pages in People, and poems and lyrics added to Music.
Now, if you'll excuse me, I have to get back to avoiding my homework. =PThat's Just The Way It Is... - Viper 3.5.01 8:00PM
Some bigger changes today. Added something to every page, and increased the font size, cause it was just so damn small.
<--- Go click on some stuff over there and see what you can find. =Pyaee yaee - Viper 2.27.01 4:00PM
OK some small changes. Everything that didn't happen this year is on the old news page. That would be almost all of my oh so frequent updates. =P
I might have some new media up soon, but for now just go to jon's wak ass page cause he has posted random pictures of people's desktops, answering machine messages, amateur rap songs, videos of big indian guys saying 'EEEEEEP', and more garbage like that. Definitely a fun time.
So I was feeling ambitious today and updated more than just this page. yup, that's right, every page now has something on it. And i don't just mean that "check back later" ish either. I even added a new people page! In honor of Jon Wang (and also cause i already have pictures of him on my computer for GOD knows what reason), the J page is now up.
Also, check out Honda-Acura.net, which is full of great people that talk about great cars (read: PRELUDE). =P
um, yea. long live parties, die homework die, i hope i get A's, i'm coming home in a month, and randomness rules.
UPDATE: Wes gave me more pictures, so I added to the People Index, and I added Rasika since her name starts with an 'R' requiring little work on my part. =PNothing - Viper 2.11.01 8:30PM
I really don't have anything to say. I'm just avoiding studying for my midterms.
System.out.println("(o_0)");And You Thought It Was Over - Viper 1.31.01 3:00PM
Wow, the first update of the new millenium. Now that I'm learning Java at the wonderful University of California, Berkeley (go bears!), I more completely understand the random quote generator that i, um, borrowed a little while back.
And, as if that wasn't overwhelming enough, I even went and added a link. To the link page. I think that's it.
um.
Happy New Year (Chinese people too). Mystery chick, your days are numbered. =D Ashok, let's do some lyricsizin'. yaee yaee. =P
Till next time...
