after life

The Innocent

before death

Today, I get to see my Grandmas! Grandma Lily and Grandma Joan live in San Francisco, and they take care of me when Mommy's too busy with work. There's break at school now, so I get to stay for a whole week! My Grandmas are always so nice to me. They always throw a party when I get there, and they want it to be a surprise, but they do it every single time, so I'm not really surprised. I pretend real good though, and it makes them happy.

I love Grandma Joan the best, because she gave me Teddy! Grandma Joan said he was from Grandma Lily, too, but I know that it was Grandma Joan, because she was at the store when Teddy and me first met. He fell off the shelf, because he's always too curious, and nobody noticed but me that he was getting dusty. I think Grandma Joan must've cleaned him up real good before wrapping him up, because he didn't look dirty at all later. Teddy's my bestest friend in the whole wide world. I tell him all my secrets, and he's nice to hug when I'm sad, because he makes it all better.

I'm glad that I have two Grandmas though, even though I don't have a Daddy. Mommy says that the only good thing my Daddy ever gave her was me. I really love Mommy, and if I had two, then they could take turns staying at home with me. I think Mommy was pretty lucky to have two Mommies, but she says that sometimes people made it hard on her. I'm not sure why, because Grandma Lily and Grandma Joan are both really nice, and they have lots of friends.

Grandma Lily is a really, really good cook. She bakes me yummy cookies and cake and ice cream and candy. She cooks yummy soups, too, all without any meat! She really likes making a beany dip she calls hummus, but I think it's just OK. She and Grandma Joan have a restaurant where they make food without any meat at all! It's kind of weird, but sometimes you can't even tell. Teddy thinks it's a pretty restaurant, and I agree. They always have pretty flowers and plants and stuff.

I used to miss Mommy a lot when I had to go to San Francisco, but I'm used to it now, but I still miss her a little. The train people are always nice to me. Mommy has to work a lot, so she's tired a lot, but she always has time for me. She said so. She always tucks me in at night and tells me I'm her favorite person in the whole world, except when Grandma Lily or Grandma Joan does.

I'd rather visit my Grandmas than stay at daycare all week though. Ms. Lacky is nice enough, I guess, but the other kids like to tease Teddy and me. One time, Billy stole Teddy from me, and I got so mad! I had to pull his hair to make him give Teddy back. He's lucky, too, because Teddy was just about to bite him. I don't think Teddy would have liked Billy's taste though, because he's kind of chubby.

I like talking about my Mommy and my Grandmas though. Mommy says she was extra special, because it was really hard for Grandma Lily and Grandma Joan to have her, which makes me extra, extra special, because Mommy had me all by herself. Teddy says I'm lucky to have him, too, and that's true, too. Teddy always gives the best hugs!

Okay, I have to go now! It's time to get on the train.

Bye-bye!

after life

At the beginning of the game, you'll probably be a little bored, sitting on the train. The person who was sitting next to you, Caroline, got up a little while ago. You're itching to pull Teddy out from under the seat in front of you, where one of the attendants put him, but you'll be a good girl and wait until Caroline gets back, so she can squeeze by. In the meantime, you'll probably want to try to talk to somebody nearby, telling them about Teddy or how you're going to visit your Grandmas. When one of the judges announces the explosion, (safely!) fling yourself out of your seat, scream, cry out to the Heavens, or go nuts, as appropriate. Don't go overboard, as pretty much everyone should be dead within a few moments. When you die, just lie still on the ground with your eyes closed until a judge announces the continuation of the game.

When you wake, you'll be horribly frightened. You want Teddy! He must be trapped underneath the wreckage. How can you move the junk covering Teddy if you're a ghost? Maybe someone else can help you. You miss Mommy. You bet she would know what to do.

Compulsions:

You're lonely and frightened. Try to get people to help you and to take care of you. You're sure that you can help them out, too.

Goals:
