Secret Gift Exchange
To help people out with gift-giving ideas, you should fill out a wish list
with suggestions for the types of items that might make a good gift for
you. It might also be useful to leave the email address of a close
friend or a significant other who can provide some tips as well.
You can use the "Add Item" button to add new items to your wish list.
The "View Purchases" button allows you to see what gifts have already been
acquired for a specific person. From that page, you can also record gifts
that you have gotten for that person. This should help people avoid
getting duplicate gifts. Feel free to point other friends to your wish
list here, so they can update a common list. Make sure not to peek at the
gifts that others have gotten for you!

Alvin Chen's Wish List
alchemy@ucla.edu
- largish (around 7 quarts) Le Creuset French/Dutch oven
- gifts from the heart
- fun board, card, or party games (maybe the Apples to Apples Apple
Crate?); check out my
BoardGameGeek profile for my current collection and wish list, as well
as suggestions on top-rated games (rankings on the lower left); I would
like some out-of-print games like
La Città -
oh, it seems available at
Imperial Hobbies in
Canada! I wonder if their listing is up-to-date...;
San Marco is on sale
at
Funagain Games; I recommend
Fair Play Games,
Time Well Spent,
Game Surplus, and
Boulder Games for discounted
online purchases in the U.S. (including some out-of-print)
- non-sports/non-racing Xbox games; maybe a good group game
- good books, especially sci-fi or fantasy

- DVDs - my Amazon.com wish list has some random movies; no lowbrow
comedies; maybe Good Eats from the Food Network

dipping oils!
- useful kitchen supplies/servingware, though we have most items

for some tips or to find out what we already have.
Shaowen Chou's Wish List
schou@bararch.com
- I have a wish list on Amazon. Whoever is getting my gifts can use that
list, but they should probably coordinate the gifts with Brian cause I
think a few more people will be using the same wish list to get gifts for
me! I think whoever look at Brian's wishlist should probably check with me
too.
- [Editor's note: One feature I'm considering is an "already purchased"
list. People could submit items that they've already purchased for
someone, so there wouldn't be repeats. The recipient would just have to
refrain from clicking on his/her own link.]

boclair@yahoo.com
- I'm going back to China in Feb until July so it would be nice to have a
gift I could take with me. But it's really hard to think of anything since
I've been living very minimalistically the last few months and will continue

- DVDs and PS2 games are always nice, but they will just sit in a box for
6 months.

- Something consumable definately would be best. I mean like a box of
chocolates, or a gift certificate to a restaurant.
