Secret Gift Exchange Participants

For this year's holiday season, we've planned another secret gift exchange. Basically, people sign up, and then they're randomly assigned to give gifts to another participant. This will be a secret matching based on preference lists, so you'll only know of the one person you're giving a gift.

To help people out with gift-giving ideas, participants should fill out a wish list with suggestions for the types of items that might make a good gift for them. It might also be useful to leave the address of a close friend or a significant other who can provide some tips as well. Try to put up at least a few random ideas now, so we know that you're interested in participating, since you can always add additional entries later.

anything homemade! =)

Jenn King's Wish List

Homemade gifts are always loved and appreciated. :) Cookies, especially, are highly favorable. ;) I love anything domestic: cookware, bakeware, cookbooks, specialty cooking things and knick-knacks... (Guess I'm getting to be the uber yuppy now...) ;) Fun games are great too- especially in the vein of Cranium or some other geared-towards-a-group game. I'm also venturing into the land of computer games- but I'm a softie so I like girly games like "Monkey Island" or "The Sims". Books- love books! My tastes tend to lean towards classicals or well written modern works. Arts and crafty stuff... I'm a sucker for scrapbook stuff... candle-making, soap-making, you name it. I LOVE boh bah. :-I==|o/o/o] <-- me drinking boh bah

Brian O'Clair's Wish List
boclair@yahoo.com

I want either gasoline powered ear muffs or a synthetic rabbit fur toaster. If you cannot find either of those, then how about a good book. Maybe a non-fiction best seller that your read and liked. Or how about a DVD, or a board game.

Brian Lee's Wish List
balee@stanford.edu

With apologies to Vincent, what I want for Christmas is "anything written or created by you -- poem, song, photo collage, story, sculpture, or other work of art -- that has special significance with respect to our relationship." However, since I don't believe the purpose of gift-giving is to inflict hardship on the giver, I'll settle for books you've found interesting, DVDs of thoughtful movies (no simple action flicks or low-brow comedies), PS2 games (good ones only please!), fun board games, or anything you find particularly fascinating or cool (think magnetic pendulum). I agree with Amy's parting statement. And yes, I like cut and paste. It's all about reuse!

Shaowen Chou's Wish List
schou@bararch.com

'Eva Hesse' by Lucy R. Lippard $15.75 on amazon
I will act surprise when I open the gift.
