This sign, at the end of Stonecrest Blvd. at Murphy Canyon Road, can be seen as you leave the Fry's parking lot. It is supposed to direct motorists to southbound route 15, which requires first making a right turn on Murphy Canyon. However, the road is Interstate 15, not CA-15. The road does not become CA-15 until you get south of Interstate 8. Picture taken November 2003. |
| Oddity: "Watch for Idiots" Caution Sign |

This caution sign along Northbound I-5 in San Diego County, on the Camp Pendleton Marine Corps base, warns motorists to watch for idiots (specifically, families with children) trying to run across 8 lanes of freeway. Strange. You hear about things like this occasionally, but this issue must have been a huge problem here in order for it to deserve a sign of its own. Picture taken June 2003. |
