Although studrel, the singular and conniving folk that they were, had arranged a number of affairs characterized by a wondrous abundance of doughnuts of a Krispy and Kremey nature, they unfortunately paid an unkind compliment to Bridge by only whispering plans of these gatherings amongst themselves, to the general effect that the good members of Bridge (who were each noble people of respectable character--but that, gentle reader, is perhaps a story for another time) were unjustly kept unawares. It was therefore a most fortuitous occurrence, blessed by Providence, that at the last of these aforementioned gatherings, an enterprising soul was miraculously in possession of a camera, and so it happened that while the voracious students dined on the delectable Krispy Kreme doughnuts, a picturesque record of the happy occasion was able to be constructed with great enthusiasm. |
