General Meeting 2 |
|
For the second general meeting, candidates and officers met at the Woz and listened to Dr Dan Garcia share his passion for teaching and his interest in combinatorial game theory. In the middle of the talk, Dan challenged the audience to play different games against his GAMESMAN program. Candidates and officers took up the challenge and all pitched in to make the best moves. To Dan's surprise, HKNers ended up winning two games and losing the third game, which he said he'd never seen a group been able to do. Afterwards, everyone listened to some great Bach performed by Eudean as a performance challenge. Then candidates enjoyed Thai and EECS (pizza) food while they chatted and helped each other solve the easy (riddles?) and mind boggling math puzzles offered by officers. |
