Alumni Broomball |

Alumni, candidates and officers clashed on the unforgiving ice at Oakland Ice Center at the first alumni broomball game of the season. With teams of alumni and candidates versus officers and members, the stage was set for a strong fight. Notable on the field were candidate Hua Xu, who valiantly defended the alumni and candidates' goal, keeping the officer threat at bay, and candidate Edward Cheung who scored two quick shots in the last half of the game to bring the score to 4-2. In the last quarter, officers put up a valiant assault, but to no avail. Surprisingly, no major injuries occurred, except for a ball that was split open by an alumnus' special attack. Final score: 4-3, alumni and candidates. So close! |
