projects and all that good stuff. But, the next Alumni events are in April,
so it's all good! =P

1. Next Alumni Broomball
+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

I hope all of you that went to the last Alumni Broomball had a good time! I
heard that it was a resounding victory for Alumni + Candidates. Again. We'll
get you next time. =P

The next Alumni broomball is set for Tuesday, April 8th, at Oakland Ice.
I'll update you with the meeting time in the April newsletter (which will be
alot closer to the beginning of the month!) Check

2. Alumni Care Packages
+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

Pub is working dilligently (well, working at any rate) on designing the new
HKN T-shirts, and ordering them too I presume. Either way, I'll be pressing
to get more T-shirts in so I can start on this long long long list of
backlogged care packages. I'll have some candidates helping me out, so
hopefully we'll be able to make some headway when we get back from spring
break.

3. Ideas
+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

Here's where I throw out some random ideas that any of you are welcome to
comment on or take charge of.

i) Alumni Chill Session - Apparently the rest of the officers think that
while this is a good idea, it probably wouldn't work well as a standalone
event, and it would be better to hook it up with another Engineering type
event like E-week. It doesn't seem likely that I'll be able to squeeze it
into April's E-week schedule, since it's already been set, but I'll do what
I can do make sure the idea is around for later this semester or early next.

ii) SoBay Event - I'm liking this idea alot, and it's kind of like an Alumni
Chill Session too. We're leaning towards having a late April picnic type of
thing at a park in SoBay near that other university. All of you who
expressed interest in helping out, I'll be in touch with you shortly after
spring break.

iii) SoCal Event - It doesn't seem like there was alot of interest in an
event in SoCal, so we'll hold off on this for now.

4. Contact Other Alumni / Alumforum

There's a cool page at http://hkn.berkeley.edu/alumni/alumnilist.html that
gets generated off of this very email list, so that you guys can get in
touch with each other. Just making sure you guys knew about it. I'll
probably link it every issue so that newcomers can check it out.

Updates: There wasn't much of a response from alums regarding an HKN alumni
forum, so we'll leave this be for now as well. It seems like emails are
working just fine right now. If there's any strong voice out there about
getting a forum in place, email me and let me know.
