Dunk tank, BBQ, assassin game, Ultimate Frisbee, Rube-Goldberg Display, Nerd Game,
Catapult Contest, Circus things (kettle corn, cotton candy, popcorn, etc)
We had the most votes in:
Circus food such as kettle corn, cotton candy and popcorn.
If this is not approved we can do BBQ.
3) VP
------
i) GO TO CANDIDATE MEETING!
ii) Challenges
Don wants officers to have 3 challenges to be ready by CM.
Remember there are no hazing challenges. We encourage performance challenges.
Challenges must do no harm to themselves or others. No peon challenges, and
no embarrassing themselves challenges.
Problems with challenges were that were not readily available when candidates request them.
Remember that candidates will remember you by challenges.
iii) Candidate Conversations
Do it online. They are one hour slots but sign up for all available slots.
The goal is for each officers to have 2 one hour slots. The candidate conversations
will be held Thursday and Friday 23 and 24 respectively.
4) Activities Movie Night
---------------------------
Change from movie night to video game night
Extra) Faculty Retreat
-------------------------
We some sort of an online survey by next week.
We need good questions to elicit concrete answers. We need to give feedback to faculty.
We want new suggestions for questions.
Questions that came up were:
What did they think of the environment of Cory labs?
Who uses Hearst Annex computer labs?
There are usually no access to Hearst Annex labs unless you are taking CS61A.
Bathrooms should get renovated.
The chairs in 277 Cory Hall do not work.
EE128 is offered by a non-Berkeley professor and should be changed, and it is also
from 6-8 which is really late. They should change it to a more normal time.
No balances of classes between Tuesdays and Thursdays.
Having late hour labs are not good.
Professors with consistently bad ratings are still teaching the class.(ie EE117)
Higher quality of classes for lower division classes.
How much sleep do EECS people get? Course schedule versus sleep.
Is one EECS unit worth more than other major's one unit?
If you find errors, please email rsec@hkn.eecs.berkeley.edu
I just finished preparing for Saturday prayer meeting for my church and HKN minutes.
It is 1:40AM and I am going snowboarding tomorrow... 3 hours of sleep... GOOD NIGHT!
