1) Career Fair (lahini)

indrel will re-email out the career fair hours that everyone's been assigned to
remember:
come promptly when your hours start
wear khakis (black pants if you don't have khakis)
keep the shirts you're given to wear clean
not to be loud or disrespectful
not to eat or be recruiting while wearing shirts
be friendly to recruiters
talk to recruiters whose tables are visited less (not recruiting though)

2) Candidates (Mangesh)

CM is next Thursday, so OM is cancelled for next week
EVERYONE should be at CM! officers will be introduced at CM by committee and should get to know candidates
committees can pick a song that represents them, so all committees should pick or mangesh will pick (uh oh)
after CM, friday and monday after are candidate convos, so officers should be sure to sign up for hours
candidates will sign up for convo times on thursday at CM
thursday night mangesh will email out the schedule for when candidates are coming to convos
tutoring hours do not count as candidate convo hours (don't count them in, you need to tutor during your OHs)
will try to keep to 2 hrs per person if possible
if free those days, try to go in to talk to and meet candidates even if it's not your hours
that way candidates can get to know some officers right away and offices aren't empty
at candidate convos, candidates will give application form and money
mangesh will send out an email with guidelines on what should happen during candidate convos
just have a nice conversation with them, can be based on sheet they fill out about themselves
we also take two pictures of each candidate (so mangesh can memorize their names)
remind candidates of all the big events coming up
challenges: candidates all need to complete five challenges
have challenges ready for CM!
there's a challenge bin online on the wiki, add new ones if you have some
have a variety of challenges ready
some good ones besides riddles are ones that help them find out more about other officers/candidates
organizing rock/paper/scissors or arm wrestling tournaments, finding out about aliases, finding out about some hkn stories
and performance challenges!! (jokes, singing, playing instruments..) (one performance challenge per candidate)
dinner challenges: (one dinner challenge per candidate)
try to make sure you're not giving a candidate a challenge they've already gotten from someone else
each officer can only give each candidate one challenge
and if you're in the same committee as a candidate, you can't give them a challenge
after candidate convos, mangesh will ask each committee for how many candidates they want on their committee
start thinking of committee projects candidates can do (2-4 hrs of work if possible)
