But you guys should be thinking about...
. the IndRel + Executives meeting!
. Danny's game night!
. being nice to your candidates!
. committee assignments!
. lovingly gazing at your doorknob!

0. Places To Go, and a Birthday! (Mimi)
---------------------------------------
Places to go:
  Thursday(2/26) - Friday(2/27) : candidate conversations
  Friday(2/27) 4PM-6PM : Meeting for IndRel + Execs
               6PM- : Dinner w/ Amy
  Saturday(2/28) 8PM- : Danny's game night
  Tuesday(3/2) 6:30PM- : GM1 - Either Bechtel 120AB(C)
  Saturday(3/6) : Eggster props/booth building

Our awesome publicity officer Angel's birthday is this week! She
received a box of Nerds. She will eat the Nerds, and we will finally be
rid of Chris, James and Tina once and for all. Those nerds.

1. Candidate Stuff (Amy)
------------------------
Please schedule an outing with your candidates between GM1 and the next
activity (Eggster)! Take care of your candidates, treat them right like
you treat your woman.

Amy was happy with candidate meetings, and make-up candidate meeting
went well also. No fires, no death, no tragic accidents...

Amy will be baking cookies for candidate conversations - who wants to
come bake? Kun wants to go eat. So, who wants to... go.. bake?

Rupert was assigned to Thursday 2-3 in 290 Cory for candidate
conversations.
Kun volunteered for Friday 1-2 in 345 Soda. Hah!

Conversation Procedures:
- take application (online) - Amy asked them to print it out.
- take their money (just the application amount, you thieves) - if cash,
write YOUR NAME on application and the cash amount on it.
- checks should be made out to ETA KAPPA NU
- take their pictures
- put application in manilla envelope
- put picture number + candname on the checkin sheet.
- show them love, passion, and how to appreciate NEW AGE MUSIC.

Amy and Mimi are thinking of having an Outstanding Candidate Committee
Award. On that note, committee work should be the equivalent of about
an hour per week.

GM1 room reservation is still sort of up in the air.
Amy reserved 120AB Bechtel, but we want to reserve C as well to fit more
people. If we don't get C, the GM will probably be in 105 North Gate.
Professor Howe is speaking (Amy implored Ellen to ask Prof. Howe to
also talk about non-graduate-school stuff as well).

Miscellaneous:
Committee assignment will be announced in GM1.
~20 ppl may show up to Dinner With Amy
Check the officer schedule again tonight so that you know your
conversation hours!

2. EJC updates (Rupert & Kevin)
-------------------------------
High School Outreach (kevin)
. EJC wants some people to give a presentation at a local high school to
  foster interest in engineering
. can we make it a part of our service requirement for our candidates?
-> we could make it a comm service, after seeing how much time
       committment it demands.

Other stuff (rchen)
. EJC Broomball tomorrow - meeting in the northside parking garage in
the corner at some predetermined time. Rupert says it's 9:30
. MESA - budget getting cut even more (bad turnouts) director wants to
work with other projects that have similar goals
. Soldering class - one time course, next week wednesday (most likely
will be in Etcheverry). Automotive repair class pending.
. E-week stuff coming in roughly a month (picture submission, etc)
. Misha's not running again => 0 engineers in ASUC senate!
most likely engineering will get no money w/o representation
Please try to find a non-(graduating senior) to run, refer to misha
. SWE has a conference coming up - this weekend in Etcheverry.

3. Relay for Life (Nikita + guest)
----------------------------------
Magen(Megan?) came in to talk about Relay for Life.

. It's a huge "race" in memorial stadium for around 18 hours.
. April 30th to May 1st
. usually a team of around 20 people who collect donations and do a relay
. usually involving a theme (this year's is 'Superheroes.')
. supports the American Cancer Society
. the money goes to scholarships to kids who had cancer when they were
  younger, support groups, etc.
. if candidates get involved, should they get credit for fun activity
  or community service?

4. Outstanding GSI Nominations (Ellen)
--------------------------------------
Note: Mimi is the worst person in the world. She was mean to me.

Anyhow, every year, COE + eecs dept nominates an outstanding GSI to
recognize them.

We want one GSI each for CS and EE. Only grad students? It seems like
undergrads are okay too.

Nominations:
EE
. Bobak Nazer (EE20N)
. David Fang (EE105)
. Dan Hazen (EE123)

CS
. Shyam Lakshim (CS170)
. Alice Zheng (CS281)
. Greg Krimer (CS61A)

A long discussion on why these GSIs deserve the award ensued, and we
decided to recommend David Fang and Greg Krimer for the Outstanding GSI
Award.

4.5 Fundraiser (Vu)
-------------------
There is an opportunity for a fundraiser at PacBell Park, selling
concessions. There is a training session involved. Vu will have more
information about it.

Are people interested? Yes
Any objections? -> "baseball sucks" - Kun Gao

Also, there is another MS infosession in March (total 2)

5. Danny's Game Night (Wonsop)
------------------------------
Danny Tom is holding a game night at his house in Hayward! It
starts at 8PM on Saturday night. Danny would also like us to organize
rides if people are interested.

Rides:
