1. Sign up for office hours, and to publicize our services on lower-div
   EECS courses.  For the latter, contact the profs in charge of the
   class.
2. Help out with JobFair.  There will be signup sheets for tasks.
3. Help out with the EECS Internship Open House.
4. E-mail chan with things you want actives to help out with.
5. Go to retreat, bring $25 and things to keep you entertained.

A short introduction of each officer, his/her position, and what he/she
did over break ensued.  Notable events over winter break were ttd's
cancellation of travel plans in Taiwan due to her family's fear of SARS,
and connie's month-long trip to Taiwan.  sahandn managed to snowboard over 
summer vacation.

- Act, for planning the semester out early
- Mimi, for baking cookies.  However, negative props for not bringing milk
  to go with the cookies


2. Schedule

Officer meetings shall be held on each Wednesday from six pee-em, until the 
end of time itself.  For reference, here are the number of officers who

3. OH Signups / Tutoring Publicity
----------------------------------
After a heated two-minute debate over whether we should change our office
hours from from 10-4 to 11-5, the conservatives mowed down the
progressives.  Tutoring will still from 10AM to 4PM.  Think of it as a
special treat for the early birds, wherever they may be.  They're 
certainly not at my place.

Sign up for office hours online.  Check your e-mail for an announcement
from Chris about this.  We'd like to have most submissions before we leave
for retreat.

4. IndRel updates
-----------------
- Officers should publicize the Career Fair to their friends.  
- Pub will coordinate with IndRel and begin to make flyers and stuff.
- There will be a sign-up sheet for things to do at the actual career 
  fair.  IndRel estimates around 30 people would be good.

- As for infosessions, the department doesn't want us to do infosessions
  w/o the ILP, so they've been put on hold at the moment.  However, we can
  co-sponsor with ILP - we'll have a small sub-committee, led by vu or 
  kgao, to handle infosessions so that indrel can focus on jobfair.
- Pool from active members for the Infosessions Committee.
- We have Microsoft and VMWare lined up for infosessions.
- When you have time, check the whiteboard in 345 Soda and cold-call the
  companies on the list.  Props to Joyce and Kgao for cold calling.


5. Cedric's Rap (RSec)
----------------------
There will be a brief meeting about active members and how they can
participate and keep involved next Tuesday at 5pm.  Officers are highly
and violently encouraged to attend.  If you have ideas for what Active
Members could do with your committee, let Cedric know ASAP so he can cook
up an agenda.  Also, he will shower you with his love...


6. Internship Open House (DeptRel)
----------------------------------
The EECS Internship Open House will be held this Friday (1/23) at 11:30PM 
in the Woz.  We want volunteers to help on Thursday 3pm and Friday 
2:15PM.

7. Retreat Stuff (Act)
----------------------
Friday to Sunday, Santa Cruz!  We're going to have a huuuuge bonfire and 
everything!  Bring a towel, sleeping bag (if you have one), toiletries, a 
change of clothes (or two), $25, entertainment, and yourself(optional).  
andypang will be sorely missed.  We're going to have a bonfire!

Drivers, get in touch with people riding in your cars.  If the following
info is wrong(some rides got changed around at the last minute), call the
right people to set up your pickup.

 Fun Stuff

Since you've read this far, you were probably expecting a reward.  
Perhaps a fun section full of jokes, or perhaps a story about my choking
fear of squat-toilets in Asia.  But I've thought of something better.  Oh
yes.  I've decided to edify you of a dangerous terrorist militia that
exists out there, hiding in their secret hideout until the right time to
strike on our native soil.  They go by the name of Cobra(TM), and the only
people on earth that can stop them are a group of military specialists
called Government Issue Joe(TM)s.  Real American Heroes(TM) they are,
those Joes.

Anyhow, to instill fear - bone-chilling fear - in your hearts, I've found
an example a cruel and sinister agent of Cobra(TM).  I present to you,
naive citizen, an excerpt from the secret files of Government Issue
Joe(TM)s on a certain faction of Cobra(TM) known as 'Night Creeper(TM)s':

"All evidence seems to indicate that the Night-Creepers have the drive and 
scruples of a _WALL STREET STOCK MANIPULATOR_, the lethal skills of a 
_MASTER MARTIAL ARTIST_, and the stealthy talents of a _CAT BURGLAR_.  To 
make matters worse, they're backed up by the latest and most sophisticated 
anti-detection and weapons technology in the world!  It's as if Attila the 
Hun had a _BLACK BELT_, an _MBA_, and was armed with _LASERS_!"

Well, there you have it.  Attila the Hun with an MBA from the Royal
Swedish Academy, MULTIPLE laser pointers, and a black Gucci belt.  Can you
imagine an enemy that is more horrendous and dangerous than these demented
creatures they call 'Night Creeper(TM)?' I didn't think so.  Beware - the
threat is real.  Set aside the false sense of safety.  You can thank me 
later for the warning.
