4.) Graduate School infosession
-------------------------------
Illinois Urbana-Champaign is coming to give another graduate school infosession
this Wednesday. Pub will flyer as soon as vu converts the file from Microsoft
Publisher.

5.) Ned's books
---------------
Then new manager at Ned's books has contacted cling to give us a stack of free
bluebooks, which will be kept in Soda & Cory offices to distribute to anyone
who wants them. Also received cards that keep track of how much you
spend at Ned's, and give you back money if you've spent a minimum amount. ($15
back for spending $300-500, $30 for spending $501-750, etc.) Also received
VIP cards that get you 20% off clothing & gifts, 10% off textbooks, and 5% off
tradebooks during their grand reopening December 4, 3-8pm. Lastly, since we
want textbooks in the offices to help with tutoring, Ned's has offered to sell
us those books at a discount. They will be sent a list of books shortly.

6.) Budget
----------
If you were allotted some of the $500 EJC office supplies money (see OM minutes
October 27, agenda item 8), then go ahead and spend the money.

7.) Banquet
-----------
Will be at Gaylord's in SF, $25-30 per person. Decided on family style rather
than buffet. More details to come.

8.) Cory lounge decorations
---------------------------
Let mimi know if you want to help her decorate the Cory lounge with snowflakes,
etc. this weekend.

9.) Food pickups
----------------
awang volunteered to pick up drinks for GM3
vu volunteered to pick up Zachary's pizza for Xilinx infosession.

10.) ASCE guests
----------------
Christi & Danny, Industrial Liasons for the Berkeley student chapter of
ASCE (American Society of Civil Engineers) visited to talk to us about setting
up their own career fair (reserving a room, setting up online registration,
etc.) If you have any suggestions for them, please email asce@ce.berkeley.edu
or visit their office on the 4th floor of Davis Hall.

11.) bowling with AUWICSEE?
---------------------------
AUWICSEE would like to do a bowling activity with us. We already have 4 lanes
reserved for bowling on Monday, but we can try and reserve more, and then get

Engineer Jokes!
(taken from http://www.frontiernet.net/~tzuleger/webjokes/engineerjokes.htm)

Knowledge, Time, and Money
--------------------------
Dilbert's "Salary Theorem" states that "Engineers and scientists can never earn
as much as business executives, sales people, accountants and especially
liberal arts majors." This theorem can now be supported by a mathematical
equation based on the following two well known postulates:

Postulate 1: Knowledge is Power.
Postulate 2: Time is Money.
As every engineer knows: Power = Work / Time.

Since: Knowledge = Power,
then Knowledge = Work / Time,
and Time = Money,
then Knowledge = Work / Money.

Solving for Money, we get: Money = Work / Knowledge.

Thus, as Knowledge approaches zero, money approaches infinity, regardless of
the amount of work done.
